Eisele Gallery hosts new exhibition for 55th Annual NCECA Conference

(Cincinnati, Ohio) - For the 55th Annual NCECA Conference (National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts) the Eisele Gallery will present Passages a 3-person exhibition featuring the ceramic artwork of Chaz Martinsen (MD), Corey Jefferson (IN) and Steve Jaskowak (NJ). The exhibition will be open to the public at Eisele Gallery from Thursday, March 18th – Saturday March 20th, 2021. The gallery will host an artist reception on Friday, March 19th, 3pm-8pm and a virtual reception with the NCECA conference from 8pm-9pm. The online exhibition will be on view at www.eiselefineart.com from Wednesday, March 17th – Sunday March 21st, 2021.

The three classically trained ceramic artists have over 50 years of experience between them. The artists will be working with 3 different construction and firing genres, ranging from low fire, effects glazes to mid-range atmospheric soda firings and the natural process of raku. From sculptural thrown to slip cast to 3D printed, the work spans timeless ceramic traditions. The three artists are influenced by their life experiences and regional environments from the west coast, east coast and Midwest. The identities of these artists represent a range of race, age and background. This diversity informs the process, subject and meaning in each artist’s work. The artists will present works created during 2020 pandemic and beyond.
