The Woman's Art Club of Cincinnati: Painters, Past and Present
Special 125th Anniversary Exhibition

Opening Night: Thursday October 18th 5-8pm

Eisele Gallery is pleased to announce that it will be hosting an exhibition in celebration of the 125th anniversary of the Women's Art Club of Cincinnati. The exhibition will be composed of paintings by more than 80 artist members in Cincinnati, OH. In addition, it will highlight noted historical female artists who were active members in the organization throughout the last century. Names like Dixie Selden, Elizabeth Nourse and Bessie Hoover Wessel will hang among living, accomplished women artists from southern Ohio and Northern Kentucky. This landmark exhibition comes on the heels of the dedication of Emerge, an Artworks mural celebrating the 125th Anniversary of this prestigious club as well as a special exhibit of past works at the Cincinnati Art Museum. The show will run from October 18th - November 17th. A public opening reception will be held on October 18th from 5pm-8pm at Eisele Gallery.
The Woman's Art Club of Cincinnati is the oldest existing women's art club operating without interruption in the United States. Founded December 10, 1892 by nineteen women artists in response to the Cincinnati Art Club's reluctance to include women, the Woman's Art Club continues its tradition of stimulating its members to greater effort in their work and increasing a general interest in art.
